I have had both a 28.8 internal MR MODEM and having failed to configure
it a 14.4 external MR MODEM ( both voice/fax)

I forget what I deduced the former to be but the latter I was told by
those nice men at demon was a Rockwell chipset and it turned out to be a
Dynalink.

Try the Rockwell Generic
