D'ya know, this is symptomatic of us Brits.....

We'll quietly sit here and take sh*te from the rest of the world -
particularly the "good old US of A"....we're now recognised as being
"the best dumping ground for second hand technocr*p in the world"

Yet, when we find - demonstrably - something that <sh>DOESN'T WORK <ush>
what do we do?.... whinge to each other!!!

Hokay... my tenner's with you. *If* Rockwell chips do not work - as you
have described - then whack 'em with an injunction stopping sale of
*all* modems in the UK fitted with Rockwell chips.

(No, IMHO - you won't get injunction.... Yes, you *will* get every
single p***-ant reporter in the UK sniffing around!!!.. with the result
that Rockwell's cred goes down the toilet!... and I don't *think*
they'll risk that...and you're in a no-lose situation!)

PS - Demon.... want another tenner to take on ASCENDS at the same time?
