Hi
Just to post a follow up to my problem - I am using 2.16d and having
flshed modem to latest version and checked settings with someone who
had got theirs fully functioning with no joy was getting a bit pissed
off! However one moment of inspiration made me try a USR serial card
instead of the onboard serial ports which solved the problems - in
other words the onboard I/O was fine with "normal" Demon modems but
not with the Ascends. Anyway that is how I solved the problem and I
hope it might be of use to someone?
