(The first posting of this seems to have disappeared) I have a 100Mhz 486 at work which has a number of idiosyncracies (MITAC with AM486DS-4, I believe it calls itself). When I try to use Windows 32 bit disc access, it reports: Microsoft Windows 32-bit disc driver (WDCTRL) validation failed at phase 07, 1F. What does that mean? Is it a hardware problem or a Windows one (in which case I shall push off and try the Windows boffs)? -- Robert Wilson Turnpike evaluation. For Turnpike information, mailto:info@turnpike.com
