Have you thought about 'Borrowing' some space on a desktop?
somthing like laplink or fastlynx would copy the contents of your
laptop onto a desktop (inc. hidden files), then change drives, and
copy everything back. All you would need to do, is partition the new
drive, and FORMAT /S before you copy. The only problem that you
can feesably come across this way, is a corrupt swapfile in windows,
but that takes about 30 seconds to sort out.

I dont know about laplink, but fastlynx is only 15GBP +vat, which seems
alot cheeper than buying a tape streamer!

Hope this is a better solution.

P.S. If you want a copy of FASTLYNX, Phone me at work (No. bellow)
