I'm convinced that the disks are fine. I installed a 'new' disk and it shows the
exact same symtoms. I don't expect all 3 disks I have to be 'cream crackered'. It
must be elsewhere in my setup. The disk is PRImary DOS and selected as the ACTIVE
partition.

Someone suggested a virus in my CMOS called JUMP or something ??

Does clearing the CMOS to factory default clear the entire CMOS area ? If not, how
do I ensure that the CMOS is cleared ?, given that I can't locate any battery !.

Since I can get OS/2 to easily boot from the drives, I may try installing the OS/2
'boot manager' and then select DOS as the default. This may be better than booting
from floppy.

Anyone got any advice ? (please)
