I have an old system which consists of the following bits and pieces. 386 DX 33 MHz 8 MB RAM 3.5" and 5.25" Floppy drives Iomega Tape 250 Insider tape drive 125 MB and 540 MB hard drives (Both Seagate IDE) Soundblaster 2 sound card AMI Bios 1985-90 I would like to buy Borland's Delphi, but apparently it's only available on CD. Therefore, I need to add a CD drive. I don't need anything fancy, just the cheapest option possible. Can anyone give me an idea of the best way to proceed? I suspect that the choices will boil down to upgrading my sound card to one that has a CD interface or getting a new serial card with more IDE thingies. I am prepared to ditch the 5.25" floppy as it's never used. What do people think? Cheers, Rob Watts.
