Latest development: I have just installed a SEAGATE ST32430N (2.1GB Hawk) and have noted that the HDSPEED.EXE utility supplied by Miro indicates a VERY slow speed compared to the Connor 1.2GB EIDE drive. I am using a Future Domain SCSI-2 controller and the ID for the HAWK is 0. Using SNOOPER, the KB transfer rate is about the same as the EIDE, but there are serious problems when it comes to video capture with the SCSI drive. Switching to the EIDE shows that it is something to do with the drive/controller and Windows 3.11. (I defragmeted the Hawk and it made no difference). Can anyone shed any light on this? -- David Longley
