1.0GB disk partition layout - advice?

Well, I've been and gone and ordered a new machine - a P75 with a 1.0 GB
disk. It won't arrive for a week or so but I'm passing the time
thinking about the things which need to be done before letting the
family loose on it.

I have no idea how the partition(s) will be set up when it arrives but I
do know enough about FAT and VFAT to know that a single 1GB partition is
not a good idea! I thought in terms of two or three partitions of
around 200-300 MB for the time being, with the rest of the space "in
store" for later, but I'd appreciate advice.

S/W will be Win 3.11 for the time being; Win95 later when I'm happy that
all the software and drivers I want to use will be 95-ed. Applications
will be Lotus SmartSuite, Internet/BBS access and MIDI sequencing via
something like Cakewalk.
