Dear TXU: Thanks for looking out for your customers! I was so happy to read in The Dallas Morning News on August 2 that your net profit rose 33% in the last quarter. Especially happy since my last month's electricity bill was 43% higher than the same month last year, despite the fact that I only had a 15% increase in KWH usage! I was even more excited to read that you'll be building eleven more wonderful coal burning plants in Texas in order to save even more money while continuing to charge us at least the same. More coal burning plants is just what the world needs right now. Go for the bottom line! You're a real winner. Love, A Satisfied TXU Customer See also: "TXU rides higher rates to 33% jump in profit" http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/bus/stories/DN-txu_02bus.ART0.State.Edition1.183488a.html

Fortunately it is no longer neccessary to buy your electricity from TXU now that the market has been deregulated. You can buy it from wholesalers who deal in energy as a commodity and TXU has to deliver it to you through their wires and service your outages anyways. I figure I save at least 10%. I get mine from Cirro Energy but there are a lot of other alternatives; http://www.cirroenergy.com/ In this way I hope to let the dope buckets of the world spend their retirement years with a window fan instead of A/C.

They want nearly 15 cents compared to 13 cents and that's with a year contract compared to monthly. But anything is better than Gexa - anything. I'd switch to Reliant if I had to just to get away from Gexa. Someone needs to run those crooks out of Texas. -- Celebrate diversity: Glock, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Taurus, Sig Sauer, etc.

Three months late Gexa finally kicked in with my Continental Miles from my last month with them.

You didn't mention that they quit trimming the trees near power lines. Everytime a typical storm rolls through it's lights out neighborhood. I knew deregulation was a bad idea and was going to lead to problems. People need to quit being so gullible. TXU WILL NOT TRIM THE TREES ANYMORE
