Last year, a bunch of DIGEX folks, along with special guest John Ruby of
ELF went to THE BIG-TEE OFF FOR LEUKEMIA.  Attendees liked it so much,
DIGEX became a corporate sponsor for this year's event on Friday evening,
January 19th. 

The Leukemia Society of America, Maryland Chapter turns three floors of
the "warehouse" at Oriole Park at Camden Yards into an indoor golf range. 
Tom Clancy runs around as the Honorary Chair, so you can meet him and the
other celebs which will be running around this year.  Golfers and guests
get decent munchies [Mmmm... roast beef...mmmm] and drink for the evening,
plus goodie bags. 

If your company is looking to "do good" with the start of the New Year,
this is a fun event for employees and guests alike.  A foursome of two
golfers and two guests ran about $500 last year.  NO, it's not cheap, but
all proceeds for registration and sponsorship go directly to research and
patient services.

The BIG TEE-OFF FOR LEUKEMIA is the Baltimore Indoor Golf Tournament held
annually to benefit the Leukemia Society of America. Played on three floors
of the Warehouse at Camden Yards, the tournament features a challenging 18
hole golf course. Tom Clancy will be putting alongside players and sports
and media celebrities. All golfers will receive a special "goodie bag" and
prizes will be awarded for:

   * Tournament Grand Prize
   * Top Foursomes
   * Hole-In-One Putting Contest
   * Best Dressed Awards
   * Golf Hole Design Awards

Features of this year's tournament include:

   * Live entertainment and appearances by local sports team players and
     mascots!
   * Hearty appetizers, ballpark snacks, and plenty of beverages!
   * Live and silent auctions!

All proceeds go to benefit Leukemia research and patient services!
