Well Russ, I have to say you are a lucky person!  I have 28.8K modems
at several different locations around baltimore that I use to call 
anything from my office to other BBS systems I like to visit.  I rarely 
ever see a 28.8K connection.  I sometimes get 26.4K, and generally 24K,
but it's a rare occasion I get 28.8K.  This is using different modems,
at different locations, through different BellAtl CO's.  So go figure...
