Specifying a callsign on the attach command line is no longer supported
in mainstream versions of NOS. And it would in any case not make any
sense to specify an AX.25 callsign when attaching a SLIP interface.

It won't work unless _both_ ends have enabled header compression with
the 'v' character in the attach command.

Dan, your hostname says hostname wv9z.ampr.org. instead of hostname
wv9z.ampr.org (note: no trailing period), in the AUTOEXEC.NET file.

There is a bug in the way the hostname is handled.  The trailing
period should be striped, if present.
