Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a visiting professor at Duke University, who desperately needs
your help.My son Vladislav has been accepted by the Electrical/ Computer
Engineering Departments at Duke, Lafayette College, and NC State in
Raleigh. We are Bulgariian, and therefore have no access to financial aid
programs. There are no scholarships or grants for Bulgarian and other East
European freshmen that I know of. My son has been promised $12,000 by a
generous sponsor, and we can provide $5,000. But we still need $3,000 in
the bank for NC State to allow admission, and much more for Duke.
This is such a rare chance for a young man from small isolated
postcommunist country to have an opportunity for advanced study in this
area, and this is the chance of a lifetime for him.
My son's abilities would benefit any business in the US if only he
could stay here and make most of them.
I would appreciate any help you could give me, including information
about or amount of sponsorship you might be able to provide. If you can
not help personally, perhaps you have some ideas?
Thank you very much for your assistance and attention. My tel. is
(919)660-4303 (W), (919)383-4641 (H) and E-mail: di1@acpub.duke.edu
