No lo hagas, en C++ los nombres est�n "mangled", por ejemplo:

Item::insert_field(char *, char *)

queda as�:

insert_field__4ItemPcT1

Adem�s tendr�as que estar pasando el puntero this continuamente, y no
podr�as crear con facilidad objetos de las clases cargadas...
Tal vez te interese CORBA o EDMA (este �ltimo comentado en Linux Actual,
forma parte del proyecto GNU, es un sistema orientado a objetos bastante
potente y sencillo. Se puede usar desde cualquier lenguaje que permita
llamar a funciones de C).
