Hi there
We heard these days about the Christian conference that was held last
week to discuss whether to allow such thing as gay priest. Well, I'm not
religious -depending on what your definition of religious is-, but I am a
christian who worries about the future of christianity in the world. I am
writing this just to express my point of view which you may agree with it
or probably not.

Genesis
1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created
him; male and female he created them.
----------------------
Do you agree here that he created them a male and a female, not two males
and not two females

Genesis
1:28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in
number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the
birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
---------------------
You might even agree with me that the reason behind having a male and a
female (and thereby sex) is to increase in number and fill the earth -not
to sin-.

The First Letter to the Corinthians:
6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor
adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
--------------------
What can I see here, homosexuality is considered a sin?....so if so how can
a man of God be a sinner. Still not convinced yet, see this

+ + + + + + + + +
Romans
1:24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to
sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

Romans
1:26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their
women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
+ + + + + + + + +
Romans
1:27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women
and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts
with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their
perversion.
----------------------
No one can argue that being gay is approved by the bible or even considered
normal. Keep in mind that I'm not discussing anything about gay rights.
When it comes to that, I agree with you that it is your right to be gay.

I'm sure the day will come when someone discovers sees that a horse can
mate with a donkey -serious- and claims rights to mate with an animal.

Lets return back to our point, even though the gays have civil rights they
should not head the church or even dream of it...why? read this:

Timothy I
3:2 Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife,
temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
+ + + + + + + + +
Titus
1:6 An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose
children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and
disobedient.
1:7 Since an overseer [b] is entrusted with God's work, he must be
blameless--not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness,
not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain.
----------------------
He never mentioned that he can be in a gay relationship.

I'm not saying that they should be kept out of church -though I wish they
would- because

Timothy I
1:9 We also know that law [a] is made not for the righteous but for
lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious;
for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,
----------------------
But this only means that they can be members of the church, it doesn't say
that they should be priests or bishops or whatever. I think that we are
lucky that these things existed before that is why they are mentioned in
the bible clearly so that no one can speak:

+ + + + + + + + +
Galatians
3:19 What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of
transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The
law was put into effect through angels by a mediator.

Timothy I
6:20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from
godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,

----------------------

Now before I get flammed, I think that God trusted us on his church and it
would be a huge mistake if we tolerate this nonsense. All it takes is a
small crack for a bit dam to collapse. If we give up easily, God knows what
can happen next. If your interested in the topic, I think you should read
the old testament in particular the "Deuteronomy", it will make your hair
fall when you imagine if something like this was only suggested in the old
times.

Timothy I
Chapter 4

1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith
and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings
come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with
a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from
certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those
who believe and who know the truth.

Luke
Chapter 17

1 Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound
to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2 It would be
better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his
neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 So watch
yourselves.
---------------------

This is exactly what is happening these days. I wish you knew that there
are lots of Christian minorities in the middle east, yes more than you
know. Depending on the country they range from 20% to 80% with Saudi
Arabia, the only country with no christians at all. This kind of nonsense
is one of the convincing weapons that is being used to convince the poor
(as in poverty) christians to switch religions.

Timothy II
3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last
days........3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have
nothing to do with them.
