Dear Eye,
I was delighted to read that Pierre Savoie liked my "C-Chip" idea so much
he took the time to "Rant" about it in EYE last week. My proposal for
a chip that detects and blacks out annoying and unwanted TV commercials
was widely discussed last October [1], when Keith Spicer was in the middle
of his "show trials" to convince us the V-chip was good for us, despite
the lack of evidence that make-believe depictions of violence are the cause
of real-life violence.
Perhaps Pierre will also like my more recent idea of a V-Chip "inverter". [2]
It will be trivial to develop a circuit to invert the V-chip rating signals
in order to enable interested viewers to *maximize*, rather minimize,
their exposure to sex and violence on TV.
... or perhaps Pierre will prefer my satirical V-barcode news release
that describes an adaptation of the V-chip rating system for books. [3]
