That's funny.  I had a similar conversation with a certain MSP
corporal who interviewed me for my CCW permit.  He asked me why I
should need a permit since my carrying a couple of hundred dollars
cash on occasion is even less than he carries when he cashes his
paycheck. I had to answer with something so I said, "this may be
true but the bad guys don't know how much I'm carrying".  I
thought, however, "exactly, that's why everyone should be allowed
to get a permit".
