I'd like to find information on how to color the flames
of a fire in a fireplace _safely_ (for a holiday
project). For example, I know that adding copper
sulfate to a fire will create blue/green flames without
any noxious/poisonous effects, and that it is
comercially available.

If you have such information, or know where one might
find it, any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Please respond via email.  Thanks.

There is information on making colored fire for juggling at this site.

<http://www.juggling.org/help/torches/colour.html>

It might help.

Kieth, that was a perfect opportunity to remind everyone that if they
attended the juggling club (Mondays, 7-9, SST (Weber) Building)
then they'd have lots of time to practice playing with fire.
You really shouldn't miss chances like that. <g>

No, we're not pyromaniacs - but we're the closest thing on campus!
