A memory leak of this kind is impossible on a real Unix system. When a process exits, all of its memory is reclaimed by the system. I don't know anything about Amigas, but if an Amiga process is responsible for freeing memory when it exits to avoid leaks, any library code that does Unix emulation must take on this responsibility; you can't expect code written for Unix to do it. So if there is any bug, I would say it must be in the Unix emulation code you are using, not in gnuchess itself. --Tim
