doing M-x manual-entry RET creat RET (under emacs 18.59) gave me
(file-error "Searching for program" "no such file or directory" "/usr/bin/man")
because paths.el set manual-program wrong. Suggested fix, assuming
NeXTs generally have this file setup and it's not some weird local quirk:
*** paths.el-orig Thu Nov 5 14:12:29 1992
--- paths.el Thu Nov 5 14:12:55 1992

"Program to run to print man pages.")
