I am trying to post using GNUS. So far I have only been able to followup on other people's posting. I am experimenting with this message by editing the headers. If this does not work, can some- one tell me how I can go about posting to USENET. I have not been successful in locating a manual or help file on my system. The administrators here seem to have deleted most of the documents from the system. Thank you. hey, is there a normal/ascii version of this manual? I didn't get it with my
version of 3.13 -- and I don't have access to ftp from this site. if there is,
I'd appreciate a copy - it'd probably really clear up the fumbling about I've
been doing.

Thanks for the prompt replies. I am getting the hang of it now. The manual should also come in useful. Just a quick question:
Since this is a newsgroup read only by people using emacs,
why don't we post these things in emacs syntex? i.e.
/anonymous@gatekeeper.3com.com:/pub/elisp/gnus-3.13
This is what we find ourselfs typing anyways... By the way,
for the guy looking for an ascii manual, I can run dvitype
to create an ascii version, but I'm not sure how this will
help since there really is no convient way to transmit such
a long file without ftp.

How about using the info nodes for gnus? I haven't used a paper manual in
years. You can't search through a paper manual like an on-line one.
