I have just recently starting using vm (a former elm user) and decided to jump in at V 5.32. Everything worked very nicely until I decided to set vm-group-by to "author". So now when I go to quit vm I see the message 'Stuffing attributes' followed by 'Invalid function: (macro lambda (n) (list (quote if) (list (quote >) n 0) 1 .....' Ultimately INBOX is never saved. I'm running with Epoch 4.2, and using SuperCite 2.2 along with vm If this is a vm problem, and nobody else has seen it before, I would be happy to help in fixing the thing. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brad Miller | e-mail: bradm@ems.cdc.com | Empros Systems International | v-mail: (612) 553-4886 | 2300 Berkshire Lane N. |Disclaimer: "I see no reason to contradict | Plymouth, MN 55441 | myself at all" George H.W. Looks like you have a macro version of signum and Emacs was expecting a function. (As an aside, I really hate the fact Emacs is addled in this way.) I can't tell exactly where the reference is coming from without a stacktrace. (setq debug-on-error t), do the group-by and the save and send me the stacktrace.
