epoch under SCO Open Desktop

Has any tried porting epoch to run under SCO Open Desktop? I got it to compile,
but when I run it I get the following error:

If I do a Ctrl-C and try again, I get this error:

Xlib:  warning, client built for newer rev (11) than server (0)!
Xlib:  warning, client is protocol rev 0, server is rev 14848!


I am sending the display to a SUN IPC. If I try to run it on the SCO machine, I
just keep getting the "Xlib:  sequence lost..." errors.
