We are using epoch  4.0.2 with pulldown windows.   Functions
delete-window  and delete-other-wondows  sometimes leave a partial mode
line.   Has anyone seen this?
Is this fixed with epoch 4.2?    The partial mode line is approximately
the size of the
pulldown menu and in the middle of the current screen.   It only occurs
if text would
normally exist under the old mode line.

I have tried

 (delete-window)
 (scroll-down 0)   ;;  Try to force redraw of mode-line
 (epoch::redisplay-screen)  ;;  force redisplay
 (sit-for 0)  ;without this, screen doesn't redisplay until mouse movement
