   I noticed that sizeof (struct lang_identifier) is 40, then I saw

     maxtoken = 40;

   and wondered if 40 was a "magic number".

Nope, sorry.  However, 42, 69, and 3 are magic numbers.  I suggest
playing them in the lottery today.
