Help! I'm working on a SPARCserver 330 (sun4) with SunOS 4.1.1 I have the following problem with gcc 2.1 I compiled and installed gcc 2.1 correctly with the few normal warnings about collect2 and unreachable statements. Now, when I compile C programs I wrote, they coredump with a Segmentation Violation right before the main is ever executed. Here's the gdb output: ------ There is absolutely no warranty for GDB; type "show warranty" for details. GDB 4.4, Copyright 1991 Free Software Foundation, Inc... (gdb) run Starting program: /u/lancelot/Bot/thebot/ego/thebot Program received signal 11, Segmentation fault 0x20 in start () (gdb) ------ the backtrace command gives nothing useful (it really just started). Any help greatly appreciated! p.s.: I got gcc on prep.ai.mit.edu of course. -- Christian Doucet ----- lancelot@Mais.Hydro.Qc.Ca | Hydro-Quebec System Administrator - lancelot@Rot.Qc.Ca | voice: + 1 514 858 7704 I speak for myself! -- #include <disclaimer.h> | fax : + 1 514 858 7799 Memory fault -- core...uh...um...core... Oh dammit, I forget!
