I am trying to build gcc 2.1 on my apollo and I am running into problems.
As there is no apollo assembler on my machine I, am using gas-1.38 as the
assembler.
The problem occurs whenever I try to link a program (for example enquire.c)
that has been compiled with gcc. I get an error stating that the magic number
is invalid. I can't even do a coffdump of the object file. The magic number
gets set to 0.
Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions of ways to overcome it? I have
been working at it for a fews days without much luck.
Thanks
Janet
