hello there I wonder if anyone has ever used the GNU C(++?)compiler on the banyan VINES unix. are there sources availble to let it work under B.Vines. Banyan vines unix is UNIX 386/V rel 3.2. The limits are that one cannot log in as root and one has only acces to the user director'ies. The toolkit to develop on Vines unix consist of a AT&T V3 K&R compiler which does not support prototyping. There are some lib's to acces the vines network. Can i port gnu to vines unix and what part of the current compiler has to be replaced? can i still use the specail vines API lib's? can gnu compile C++? where can i FTP this stuff????? help me. maarten@cca.vu.nl A A A A
