Cross compiling on the PC for 680x0

Has anyone had any experience compiling GCC in the PC for cross-compiling
code for the 680x0 family?

I would appreciate any advices/comments. If you happen to have the binary
for this beast I would like to copy it for initial development until I
get to compile it myself (it would have to 'straight'-compile for the PC
also).

I would prefer if you can respond through E-mail.

Thanks a lot!!
