Ok, so I've finally cleared up the sysadmin problems we were having
and got the "install" phase to work with gcc2.2.2 - thanks to all of 
you who sent suggestions.

But now that I have it installed, I can't seem to find the include files!
I looked in:
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/include - contains nothing.
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/decstation-ultrix4.0/2.2.2/include - contains some
include files, (listed at end of message) but not the ones I need.  In 
particular, where are the stream.h and other c++ headers located?  
Did the install just not work? (there were no error messages or warnings
during the install - I saved the output)
Or am I looking in the wrong place?  Or did I forget to do something?
(I followed the instructions in the INSTALL file - was there someplace
else to look?)
