Dear GDB developers, I recently upgrade my GDB to version 4.6 but ran into a new problem which was not there in version 4.5. I have an executable which has some C functions linked in that are not called by the main flow of the program. However, I use them while I am in GDB to spit out useful internal information for me. When I issue "call func" in GDB 4.6, I got segmentation fault. I went to debug GDB using GDB, it fails in line 1803 of symtab.c inside function decode_line_1(). The reason was that the variable "sym" pointing to a symbol structure whose "value" part is NULL. Could you investigate this problem to see if this is a bug in GDB 4.6 or I did not do the right thing? Thanks. Shie-rei Huang Hitachi Computer Products s_huang@hitachi.com 408-492-9070 x-264
