I compiled gs 2.5 on a SparcStation 2 GX with 64 MB RAM, SunOS 4.1.2 using gcc 2.2.2
with -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer. When trying the examples (golfer, tiger, ...) under
X11R5, gs25 seems to be a whole lot slower than gs24. Same thing on 486/33 under Linux/X.

What is happening????
