This has probably already been covered, but this is the first time that I have looked at this newsgroup, and I am a shorttime ghostscript user, so please bear with me. I am having problems using gs386.exe and a HP LaserJet Series II on a Zenith 386/25Mhz w/20Mb Ram, msdos ver 5.0. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a C complier(not watcom or borland anyway), so I can not apply any source code patches and re compile 8-(. The specific problems I am having are: 1. Printing some files, the very first line of text at the top of the page is cut in half, with only the bottom half showing. This has happened using both ghostscript version 2.4.1 and 2.5 (gs.exe and gs386.exe). The same file printed on a postscript printer prints the whole line. Is there anyway to correct/adjust the page margins to slightly increase the top margin? 2. Using version 2.5, the spacing between the lines of text is missing. That's the best way, I can describe it. In both problems, the file in question, is generated by the same program that generated the phonebook for the entire Division, I'm using it to print a much smaller subset (1 page vs 100+ pages), so it's all text. I'm sure that the second problem will be fixed in ver 2.5.1, but the first problem has been in both versions I have used, so I'm not sure anyone is aware of it. I can email a copy of the file, to anyone that might need it to fix the first problem. Thank you for putting up with me. Know that I know about this newsgroup, I continue to view it.
