The following change will get Ghostscript 2.5 close to the speed of
2.4.1.  Change line 219 of gxpcopy.c from
		else if ( adx3 > scaled_flat << 1 )
to
		else if ( adx3 >> 3 > scaled_flat )
and similarly change line 245 from
		else if ( ady3 > scaled_flat << 1 )
to
		else if ( ady3 >> 3 > scaled_flat )

This may not be the final form of the fix, but it will do the job for
the moment.

The bug only affected (dramatically!) the speed of rendering curves
and arcs that are not part of characters.  If you are experiencing
performance problems on pages that contain only text and straight
lines, let me know.
