🚀 go-pugleaf

I just downloaded and installed Ghostscript 2.5 on my Compaq Portable
386.  The DOS versions (8088 and 80386) of the executable seem to work
quite well, but as soon as I try to fire up the pre-compiled Windows
version, GSWin, under Windows 3.1, I get a General Protection Fault.
The GPF occurs in the Win87Em.dll dynamic link library (at 0001:0293).
Frankly, I'm puzzled as to why the 80x87 emulator is even loaded since
I have an 80387 (Intel) in the computer.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?  Does anyone know how to
make it go away?  I can document the problem better with Dr. Watson,
if that would help, but I don't have the BC++ (or any other Windows C
compiler) with which to make a new executable.

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.
