I used to `make fixincludes' when installing gcc on all systems. Nowadays 
the INSTALL-file for gcc mentions:
     Note that some systems are starting to come with ANSI C system
     header files.  On these systems, don't run `install-fixincludes';
     it may not work, and is certainly not necessary.
I presumed that SunOS was one of those systems, so I didn't make
fixincludes anymore (and subsequently forgot all about it).

Thanks for correcting this, no problems with compiling libg++/groff 
anymore!
