> If I need g++, has anyone built that successfully on the 3B2?. You need the most recent version of both GNU-CC [2.3.3], which contains a g++ compiler, and libg++. You won't be able to bootstrap GCC-2.3.3, because some tables in AT&T's C-compiler are simple too small. BTW: It will/might produce wrong code for the more elegant list/tree handling implemented by RMS. Someone on net offered binaries of gcc-1.37 for AT&T 3B2 some years ago. You should get them .... There will be a lot of work to make header files fit ... Remark: There were _UGLY_ bugs around fopen/fclose in AT&T's libc.a, which made using IOstreams of the older libg++ impossible. On fclose file buffer was always freed, regardless whether it was allocated by malloc or provided otherwise.... produced lots of SIGSEGs on closing of a file.... best, adams
