   sed: Ending delimiter missing on substitution: s?^prefix[       ]*=.*0prefix = /usr/local/gnu?

Seems like `configure' script distributed with texinfo is
generated with an older version of autoconf.  The latest autoconf
uses "%" instead of "?" to fix this problem.
