Running GNU tar version 1.11 on a Next with OS release 2.1 ...

GNU tar seems unable to read its own archives when file names get long.

COMMAND:  ~/etc/garbage/tar-1.11/tar cf - apps/illustrator3.0.1 |  ~/etc/

OUTPUT:
