Running GNU tar version 1.11 on a Next with OS release 2.1 ...


The tar files that GNU tar 1.11 produces cannot be read by /bin/tar when files
have long names.


COMMAND:

  ~/etc/garbage/tar-1.11/tar cf - apps/illustrator3.0.1 | /bin/tar  tf -

OUTPUT:
