CONFIGURATION GNU fontutils version 0.5 SparcStation 2 SunOS 4.1.2 OpenWindows 3.0, olwm DESCRIPTION Invoking bzrto with the following options % bzrto -verbose -metafont gbbb30b -output=gbbb30B dumps core with a segmentation violation when writing the Metafont epilogue. The failure occurs in the function "output_ligtable" while writing ligature information, caused by a pointer dereference that occurs before the data is tested for validity (in a local variable initialization). SUGGESTED FIX Making the following change to bzrto/metafont.c corrects the problem: bzrto/metafont.c 415c415 < tfm_char_type *c; --- > tfm_char_type *c = CHAR_TFM_INFO (*(chars[code])); 422,424c422 < < c = CHAR_TFM_INFO (*(chars[code])); < --- >
