The Japanese, Koreans, Germans, Italians, etc. nameplates all have their own schools of design with cross-pollinations and cross-hiring of design firms. Perhaps as a result of the numbers of cars produced and as the original thought in the thread, marketing strategy, the American nameplates have the highest proportion of ugly issues.
