Yes, IBM does have a program, Touch Typing for Beginners, that keeps records and works quite nicely on I-Class networks. I have used it with elementary students for a couple of years. However, I do not stress keyboarding and have not tracked progress. I like this program because I can work with a large number of students, they log themselves in to the approriate place for their own work and 5-10 minutes later we can all go on to a writing assignment. I have used a few others and I am sure that for different objectives, there are superior keyboarding programs. For keyboard familiarization and the "bookmark" capability, it is great! -- uucp: uunet!m2xenix!puddle!343!27!Ralph.Hammersborg Internet: Ralph.Hammersborg@f27.n343.z1.fidonet.org
