I'm a grade 9 social studies teacher in Ft. McMurray Alberta Canada who would like to set up a project with some other grade 8,9, or 10 classes elsewhere. I'd like to have my class compile a survey that asks questions about some of the most important current events in your part of the world. I'd also like to structure it so that your class could provide some opinionated feedback on these current events. In addition, I'd like my students to find out how your students feel about current events that are popul
ar or important in your part of the world and ours.I'd also like to include a part of the survey that asks other "high interest" things about your students such as their favourite t.v. shows, music, hobbies, or consumer products. The basis of the project would be current events, but I'd like the students to get a sense of the similarities and differences between people in different parts of the world. Drop a line if you're interested and we can refine the idea a bit more. Oh, of course I'd also like to rec
eive a survey fro your class in reply that could easily be a similar format as the one we would send you. I'm open to setting up a project that would last for more than just the initial surveys that we send you and you send us, and I'd even be open to letting individuals in my class correspond with individual from your class to further the current events focus.
