You may wish to consider an alternative, such as a Homeopathic or 
Naturopathic practicioner.  I don't know how you might go about finding
ones availble in K-W.  Perhaps someone knows of a list available from
somewhere?

My problems with finding a GP have been the same as the ones you describe.
I also have a problem, however, with the general fix-it-after-it's-broke
attitude inherent in the present medical system.  I realize that GP's are
necessary in several circumstances, but for the most part, having a 
stranger with cold, clammy hands grope me every year or so for some alien
ailment or disfigurement while the most personal detail they know about me
is my height, weight and marital status repulses me.  Ecch.
