Adlib was bought out by a German company recently (like Hayes bought out
Waterloo Microsystems, and SCO bought out HCR).

Anyway, then there are other well known companies, off the top of my head...
MKS Waterloo	MKS Toolkit, Make, RCS, Lex, Yacc
    HyperCube	Waterloo	Authors of HyperChem
Gold Disk	Toronto A top-notch Corel Draw! competitor
Quantum	Toronto QNX is still around!
SoftQuad	Toronto Desktop publishing systems for Unix
Sapient	Edmonton	CodeBase is probably the best dBase C library
WNDX	Edmonton	The WNDX portable GUI toolkit

There is a lot of freeware and shareware from Canada, too: C News, Graphics
Workshop, Telix, WinDock, ...

All in all, I'm certainly not embarrassed by our high tech performance!
