The subject had morphed into how Koreans don't eat raw food. They may eat less than most of the rest of the world. India may eat less than the rest of the world. "Less" and the "rest of the world" doesn't mean anything. Here's what means something: Koreans and the vast limitation of their dining habits, or those of the Indians or Zuni aren't summed in two or three barks of vague over-generalization here or elsewhere. Their diets were more restricted 100 or 500 years ago. Far less so now that they all buy canned and bottled foods from everywhere with who-knows-what in it. My only complaint is with the endless over-simplified (and flase) pronouncements made on usenet. Carry on. -- First they gerrymander us into one-party fiefs. Then they tell us they only care about the swing districts. Then they complain about voter apathy. -- Gail Collins
