Anyone have a list of good Sacramento restaurants? There is no Sacramento newsgroup and I don't know of any websites. Thanks, Henry

You can try the A La Carte dining site:
http://www.westweb.com:80/alacarte/CA.html
Select Sacramento and hit search -- it returned 284 restaurants. This is
just a list, without any additional info, none of the restaurants had a
web site, and only one was reviewed. I did note a couple of high-end
chains (like Morton's) and the usual fare, but it's a start. Note: some
people have had difficulty with the site, being unable to access the
search page. I'm using Netscape 2.0 and had no problem.

Hello? Anybody home? I know you're on Netloser, but you should still
be able to figure out that this thread is being cross-posted to ba.food.

Why would you say that? Sacramento isn't in the Bay Area.
Besides, this is already cross-posted to ba.food,
Might try sac.general. though.

For Sacramento, it's no better than looking up a Sacramento phone book since there is no other information than name, address, and phone no. Is there a Zagat's for Sacramento? Henry

Unless you can find one, I'd say the best bet is to trust Susan Hattie Steinsapir's list (she had a very good reputation as a "taste maven" on rec.food.cooking. Alas, has departed this earth).
