In a previous article, cburba@snet.net (Chelsea Burba) says:
dear Councillors:
re Jerry Rubin's "UN Valentine", please, make sure that
the UN sanctions, the diplomatic "WoMD" of 7 years,
are made into a cause for this attempted Resolution; perhaps,
Jerry could tear the valentine in half, sending one
to the Iraqi children, to be mended only by the halting
of the Tony Blare-led "let's you & him fight" jihad,
against Islam, probably as a whole; how else is this going
to effect a "Season of Nonviolence" (the previous Res.
under which this "Valentine" is put, as with the SMCC
counterpart.)
here, I'm going to try to insert a prior message:
SUBJECT: city:1
MESSAGE from Brian Hutchings 10-FEB-98 13:10
unfortunately, I did not get to go to the TWG meeting, last night, or
I might have recruited some-more folks to "lobby" Jerry & his item 4-A
(although I did announce his counterpart presentation at LACC,
this Friday at 10am or so, to the Elec.Charter Reform Comm.Meeting
in Grenada Hills). I was wondering, if the "800' Valentine for the UN"
could be torn in half, the other half for the Iraqi children,
only to be mended by a definitive act for the "Season for Nonviolence",
the halting of the Blair-led "let's you & him fight" jihad and, hope-
fully, the cessation of the UN sanctions, a diplomatic "WoMD".
reasonably, we must try to extricate our President from this denoue-
ment of Sir George Bush's cynical Desert Storm baiting of a would-
be Nebuchadnezzer. unfortunately, I made a tactical error, this morn,
in not lying to *Talk of the Nation*, as their foundation-
supported *interns*, predictably, gave me the telephone-shuffle-off-hook,
with 3 seperate "Helloes?", before blanking-out. I was going
to challenge Jerry, as well as give the history of the interrelated
Iran-Contra scam, at http://www.tarpley.net, by giving that URL (and
I recommend the next-to-last chapter, "the End of History", to start);
no matter, though, as *here* is where inaction must be overcome.
remember, this is the very first item, 4-A, shortly after 7pm, if
you're going to chit to speak for up to 3', before Jerry presents; though,
you can just call the CCOffice & leave a statement, or harrass Councillor
Feinstein, the original "Season" sponsor, at 392-8450 (also fax), or
call Jerry at 399-1000 (and the CCO is 458-8201 (fax at -1621).
